Taste of Addis Africa Annual Festival (TAAAF) is a vibrant international cultural festival filled with spicy African and International food, colorful clothing and displays, indigenous and international music and much more.  The Festival TAAAF launches its first annual festival in September 2007 (12th to 19th), in commemoration of the Ethiopian Millennium (2000). The landmark event takes place at the well known Meskel Square, host venue for Africa Unite 2005, Bob Marley’s 60th Birthday, attracting over 300,000 peaceful people. The city centre is a safe open outdoor venue daily attracting footballers, sight seers and track stars in training. It is not uncommon to catch a glimpse of our world winning runners at the Square as it is also a destination for the famous 30,000 strong participants of the annual Great Ethiopian Run. The centre now boasts a large screen (6 x 8 m2) that presents movies, games, advertisements, and center activities attracting even more people to the site. TAAAF’s first annual festival is a partnership effort with the Addis Ababa Millennium Secretariat, and supported by Ethiopian Airlines, Adika and Aqua Addis. The eight day festival presents the diverse culture of Ethiopia while promoting the historic, cultural and social values of Ethiopia also highlighting her relationship with the world. TAAAF is committed to promoting the vibrant capital city of Addis Ababa as a primary tourist destination, while raising funds and awareness in support of socio-economic development.
